ARTIST'S COMMENT: We spent an afternoon hiking Davis Mts State Park high above our historic frontier fort. Rain here isn't the norm, and when the rain moistens the ground, grasses grow tall as fast as they can so they'll have time to go to seed before they dry up. The colors in those grasses always interest me, and they view from on high can't be described. Maybe this painting will take you there?
