Artist's comment: "This my second plein air landscape featuring running water. I did it just off the road to Taos Ski Valley. As I hurried to capture the colors before my light faded in the mountain valley, ashes from a nearby forest fire began falling on me and my canvas and mosquitos feasted on me. But I kept painting until I had my water."
