"Cresting Wild Rose Pass"
Lindy Cook Severns
This historic pass through the Texas mountains between Fort Davis and Balmorhea shimmers with dawn light, especially at the height of a West Texas summer when the grass is tall and wildflowers bloom with reckless abandon. As I painted this familiar road from my photo references, I decided to lose the asphalt and go back in time. The rutted dirt road is well-worn by travelers who came before me.
This elegant painting only looks right in this format, so there are no other sizes offered.
